By Friends of Angola
It is with great concern that we have come to learn about the use of false identity as well as bribery attempts from individuals linked to the Angolan embassy in Washington, DC to discourage board members to disassociate with Friends of Angola.
Friends of Angola will like to remind the Embassy of Angola and the Angolan government in general, that such anti-democratic and dictatorial behavior have no place in truly democratic societies like the U.S.
Friends of Angola asks the President of the Republic of Angola, João Lourenço and his government to look to sincere dialogue, instead of persecution and bribery to all who think differently.
We hope that the methods of intimidation and assassinations that the Angolan government has been practicing for decades and caused hundreds of victims, is a definite part of the past.
